PV power plant Pincara II

The Pincara II plant has a peak capacity of 977.76 kilowatts peak (kWp). It is connected to the local 20 kV medium-voltage grid belonging to Italian electricity supplier ENEL with highly efficient inverters of the type Solarmax 330. The grid connection point is close to the photovoltaic park. Easements ensure that the cables required for connection can be laid over third-party property. We have also secured all other rights and authorisation to build power plants, such as planning permission and leases.

Installed modules

The photovoltaic modules used in the plant are supplied by the Austrian company KIOTO Photovoltaics GmbH in St. Veit an der Glan. Manufactured to the highest quality standards, they have a nominal power of 210 Wp (watts peak) per module. The KIOTO photovoltaic modules are certified to IEC 61215, IEC 61730, MCS and IP 65 by TÜV Rheinland (German product testing agency) and thus meet the world’s most stringent test standards for photovoltaic products.

Power plant operation

Operation specialists ENcome Energy Performance are responsible for organising and running the power plant. In order to keep a constant check on the photovoltaic power plant, we installed a 24/7 monitoring system which sends all the plant’s performance parameters online to the control station in Klagenfurt. This enables the operator to detect even the slightest deviation and take the necessary corrective action immediately.
